It's Hurricane Season!

by Michael Bille  September 1, 2010 04:17  in Collective Talent0 Comment

It's the crazy season, or as those of us on the East and Gulf Coasts call it, hurricane season. We write this as Hurricane Earl begins bearing down on the Carolinas and points North. Soon, television reporters will be standing out in the rain and the wind illustrating that it is in fact wet and windy out there. Legendary newsman Dan Rather started it all back in September of 1961 covering Carla while a reporter for KHOU-TV. His coverage catapulted him to the network. TV journalists have been hoping for the same fate ever since. For more videos starring the likes of Geraldo Rivera and Al Roker braving the elements,  click here for Laurie Kendrick's very funny and insightful blog post.
