• Live several times each morning then live again at noon, usually with a package • I’m general assignment, so what I cover runs the gamut: breaking news, severe weather, crime, court proceedings, politics, as well as feature stories. • Most notable coverage so far has been of Tropical Storm Irene. Was covering Governor Andrew Cuomo when the storm hit, then ended up being stranded with my photographer in Prattsville, NY. It’s a town that got national attention for almost being wiped off the map by floodwaters. As the only media there, we told exclusive and compelling stories from those affected by the storm. • I also covered Superstorm Sandy in NYC as a special request from my previous employer NY1. • In 2012, I was live on the tarmac for President Obama’s visit to the Capital Region. • Am known as the go-to person for information on New York State Police investigations because of my sources there • Can shoot and edit my own stories • I also engage my viewers through Twitter (@MeganDcCruz) and Facebook
