Jeremy Kappell

Jeremy Kappell is an Emmy Award winning meteorologist that has been practicing television weather since 2000.  A Purdue Graduate, Jeremy has the Seal of Approval of the American Meteorology Society and holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation.

Currently, Jeremy works for WDRB TV as a staff meteorologist, weather blogger and social media specialist.  In 2015, he was honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with a prestigious Emmy Award for his work on THE SUPER OUTBREAK, a five part documentary on the April 3, 1974 tornado outbreak that devastated much of the region and personally impacted his family.  More recently, in April 2016, he was awarded BEST WEATHER ANCHOR by the Kentucky Associated Press.

Jeremy is a seasoned forecaster with experience from the Southern Plains of Texas, Central Plains in Kansas, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and the Ohio Valley.
