
Emily Dwire
Emily Dwire joined the ABC21 News family in 2012. She anchors ABC21 Morning News and ABC21 News at Noon which she also produces. During her time with ABC21 she’s covered a variety of stories that impact the community and its residents. Emily hosts a weekly segment on her noon show called Opportunity Knocks in which she highlights the workforce and employment opportunities around northeast Indiana. Some favorite moments of Emily’s career include covering President Barack Obama’s visit to Indianapolis in 2015 and interviewing John Lennon’s half-sister as she accompanied the Mersey Beatles to Fort Wayne. Emily was born and raised in Fort Wayne. She played soccer at Snider High School and graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications. She was happy to return to the Summit City to begin her broadcasting career.
