Help deliver two hours of content daily. Turn stories as MMJ. Post content to web. Robust presence on Twitter as well as Facebook. Constant interaction via social media pushing viewers to all platforms. Team player, self-starter and multi-tasker.
WGBA-TV, Green Bay: Sports Director (June 2015 - June 2019).
Anchored all weekday sportscasts. Prime focus on the Packers, turning a number of stories a day with the latest news on the team. Headed three person department.
KTUU-TV, Anchorage: Weekend Sports Anchor / Reporter (September 2007 - June 2015).
Shot, wrote, edited and delivered the sports action of the day at both 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. During the week, played the roll of sports reporter. Helped develop special projects, longer form sports programing and contributed to online strategy including social media and KTUU.com content.
KTUU-TV, Anchorage: Host (September 2010 - December 2014).
Started “The Show with Charlie Sokaitis” in order to have a little more fun with the local Alaska sports scene. It was a 30 minute review of the sports week with highlights, interviews, athlete profiles and top plays. “The Show” put a spotlight on athletes from the 49th state that was almost always accompanied by a bit of humor and a self-deprecating comment or two.
