David Briggs was the CNN anchor and co-host of Early Start with Christine Romans. Prior to joining CNN, Briggs hosted a variety of programs for NBC Sports including coverage of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, NASCAR Sprint Cup and hosting the Rio Olympics tennis studio. Before his role at NBC Sports, he co-hosted 'FOX & Friends Weekend' at FOX News, covering the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, among other news topics. Briggs spent nearly a decade covering local news in Rapid City, Tulsa and Boston - where he covered both Boston Red Sox World Series Championships and New England Patriots Super Bowl titles. Dave lives in Westport, CT with his wife Brandi and their three kids Emerson, Will and Logan. He's a broadcast graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and a native of Denver, CO.
