Brigida Mack
Brigida Mack is an award-winning anchor whose career spans nearly two decades. A native Charlottean, she joined FOX 46 as the newest anchor of Good Day Charlotte in January of 2020. Brigida began her career in Charlottesville, VA, as a weekend anchor at the NBC legacy affiliate station. Before joining Good Day, she spent nearly 15 years covering the news in the Queen City for two other television stations. In that time, she’s amassed a large following in the Charlotte region and is known to viewers as a journalist that people can trust but also connect with them on an authentic and personal level. In addition to tirelessly covering news in her hometown, Brigida’s also covered the 2007 Virginia Tech mass shooting, the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, more than half a dozen hurricanes and even an earthquake in Central Virginia! She has interviewed former President Jimmy Carter, the first woman to serve as Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (over froyo, no less!), CBS This Morning’s Gayle King as well as noted celebrities including Rachael Ray, Jeff Daniels, rapper/actor Common, Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera and comedians like the late John Witherspoon, Pauly Shore, and the late Charlie Murphy. The N.C. Associated Press honored Brigida in 2012 when she won its “Best Series” award for her heart-warming series, “Pass 3 On.” She is also passionate about health and fitness. In 2013, Brigida founded “TeamNOSugar” and transformed her life when she gave up processed and added sugars. She is committed to an active and healthy lifestyle. Along the way she’s inspired thousands to join the movement and change their lives through her “TeamNOSugar” 30-day challenges. Brigida is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and its local counterpart, the Charlotte Area Association of Black Journalists (CAABJ). She also works with several local organizations including the Alzheimer’s Association of the Wester Carolinas, the American Lung Association Charlotte chapter and the Greater Carolinas MS Society. When she’s not helping you get your day started on Good Day Charlotte, she enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, staying active and watching college basketball to cheer on her beloved Tar Heels!
